Just a quick note – don’t forget to grab the free file each week in the Silhouette design store.

This week is a file called Wild and WonderfulDesign #344510

I took this week’s design and sketched it with my Cameo Pro and then did a quick coloring with watercolor pencils. You can sketch with any of the Silhouette machines either using a Silhouette sketch pen or with any pen that fits in the pen holder.

In a few quick steps I had my card created.
1. Ungroup the design and removed the text to add the new sentiment to the top using
Thinking of You Sketch by Thaty Garcia – Design #343560.
2. Draw a rounded rectangle of 4″ x 5.25″ and centered the design using the Align tools.
3. Next I changed the line color of the sketch part to green using the Line Style Panel.
Then I could set the action of sketch and cut for each color on the Send Tab under the Line Option.
Check out more information on this feature here – Let’s Explore v4 – Send Tab Line Option.

After it was done cutting, I quickly colored it in with a few watercolor pencils and lightly blended it with a water brush.
I love this quick, simple way as it does not have to be perfect. Just grab some pencils and play around with it.
Each card or design you make can be different.

Check out this time lapse video of coloring in the sketched design.

Just grab some supplies and start to play!
