New equipment is always fun to get to know and play around with. I will admit that when I opened the box for the Silhouette Electrostatic Bed, I had a bit of a questionable moment as I saw something in the box I didn’t know about.

I had no idea what the “guard tape” was. There is an instruction sheet in the box. Make sure to keep the instructions, your box, and this guard tape for future use.

  1. How big is the entire electrostatic bed? I’d love to get one, but I don’t know if I have enough room. I watched your video, and it looks really nice. Would I be able to cut 85 pound cardstock on it? Do you have to replace the protector sheet very often? Thank you for all your informative lessons!

    1. The ES bed itself is approximately 14″ x 18.5″ and I recommend storing inside the box and completely flat, which is approximately 16″ x 20.75″. I’ve cut 65 lb cardstock and will be testing more in the future. The biggest thing is it needs to be smooth and completely flat.
      Replacement of the ES protective sheet will completely depend on the user and how they use it. They will need to be replaced and I’d recommend having extras on hand.
