This is a technique that I use with every single project I have that requires multiple colors to be cut with my Silhouette. I find it saves me time, materials, and adhesive on my cutting mat since I’m only using smaller sections at a time and not ripping full sheets off the mat each time.

I find that a good paper trimmer is one of my most essential tools in my crafting area.
My personal favorite is the EK Tools Rotary Paper Trimmer found HERE.
This is the one you see me use in the video.

But you can use any paper trimmer that cuts a straight line for doing this technique.
Hope those tips help to make your Silhouette projects go smoother!
